In general, Yes they are but there are some precautions that can be taken. Socks smell because of the blend of sweat and socks material. In order to prevent it, before wearing the socks, wash your feet properly and then sprinkle some anti-biotic powder on the feet, you will feel good and at the day end the socks will not smell too.
