I think it would be hard to find compelling evidence with re: to religion, that is the whole point of faith. However, if evidence was to be presented it should be objective evidence. For instance, many people use circular logic to support the existence of Jesus as the son of God (I know Bible is the real because it was written by God, I know God was real because the Bible says so). However, you can't support one without accepting the other, so it doesn't work. Any evidence that would need to be presented, would need to be based on something other than religious sources (which are only validated by their existence). Evidence that might be acceptable would be authenticated documentation supported the Bible in whole, which was written by an unbiased author and separate from the Bible. Or, achaelogical evidence that such things as mentioned in the Bible are evidence in the geological record and through archaelogical findings. These are just some examples.

The idea of a god existing is such an obvious nonsense that it's really difficult to think of any kind of evidence that would persuade me to believe in one. Besides, if a god existed then he would just be able to make me believe in an instant, if he wanted me to.

Anything short of god appearing so that the whole world, at one time, can see his existence will not convince me that there is a god.
So, unless god comes riding through the clouds on the six o'clock news, I ain't havin' it.

An amputee growing his leg back after praying. Depending on the circumstances, I might consider that to be evidence that one or more god-like beings exist.
Then again that depends on how one defines "god".

I don't have an answer, but I wonder why the evidence of changed lives, miracles of healing, and deliverance from bondages is not enough?
