Okay, it sounds like a strange question I know. I am not trying to start a debate, disrespect anyone, or get a rise out of you. I read a question that asked about babies going to Heaven, but the asker stated he was atheist. I found this odd, since I didn't think atheist believe in Heaven. So I'm asking an honest question here, I really am curious to know.

by no potential heard of an Indian chief being an Atheist. they in many situations trust contained in the excellent Father do not they? What made you imagine Catholics trust that? It might want to be a Catholic who isn't a real Christian who advised you that. some bypass to church and phone themselves Catholic merely because they bypass to a Catholic church yet they don't seem authentic Christians. All authentic Christians trust firmly contained in the Bible and know what it says. Atheists won't be able to to to heaven until eventually they repent and start up believing and trusting in Jesus for a replace.

I think when it comes to babies dying .... even the hardest of people hope that there is something more
this doesnt mean that atheists believe in an afterlife or that they will all adopt this at times of death
sometimes the death of a baby will do the opposite and take people further away from a belief in God
each person is different and how they react will be different
i think we should just respect peoples thoughts in times like this with whatever helps them best

edit
atheist means no belief in a God ... it doesnt always go hand in hand with a disbelief in some form of afterlife

I'm afraid it would only be a temporal heaven, involving Angelina jollie, a good curry, Chelsea winning the champions league and lots of beer and tequila.

I don't think atheist believe anything that's in the Bible. It's like they deliberately go all out to fight whatever the Bible says. If you ask about something (say), their first response is; if it's in the Bible, then it's not true.

Anyways, that's how much I've heard about these guys - I personally haven't met them! To be honest, I don't even believe that there are such people who can flatly say 'there is no God' or 'God does not exist. I would really love to meet one atheist.

I suppose it's possible that you could believe no gods exist but still believe in a supernatural component to the human being, and that said component 'goes' somewhere after your physical death... but I think that would be a rather confused kind of worldview.
