dr dino is an idiot.
even if you were schizophrenic, unless you were going to harm yourself or others, it wouldnt be IMMEDIATE.
anyway, i think yours is from a lack of sleep or stress.
and yes, you can tell the difference. when someone isn't there, but you hear something, like muttering from a tv on low noise, you can tell. and medication does help. atypical antipsychotics.

If you are stressed out for school (finals, papers due, etc.) and don't get any sleep for 48 hours or more, it could be totally normal to go crazy.. Just take a long nap, and you'll be fine when you wake up

The most i've stayed up was around 96 hours (no drugs, just studying hard).. When I finally went to bed I slept off and on for almost a week. I was a completely different person before and after I got some sleep..

So I could see it being normal, if it's something beyond just stress. Such as lack of sleep, etc.

It is normal to hear vocices IF you have a mental diagnosis. You need to be checked by a doctor. For me when i get so stressed out for along time i will start to hallucinate and hear voices., It was not until i got on medications i then stopped. I was diagnosed with Bipolar(manic depressive) with phycosis. See a Doc. Good Luck.

Everyone responds to stress differently. What is normal for you may not be normal for another person. Being under stress can be traumatic.
