There is a standard pain chart in most ER rooms, doctors offices, and in most places of medical care. the chart asks the patient to rate his pain on a scale of 1 to 10 and it has definations to help the person. what definations are most commonly used?

Those charts are to help the physician quantify the patient's level of pain -- usually they say that 1 means barely painful, while 10 means the worst pain they've ever experienced.
