If you just have a dry scalp then it may or may not help depending on how much it helps to keep moisture in. Try simply washing your hair every other day and using a moisterizing shampoo and conditioner. Too much washing dries out both hair and scalp. Dry skin (your scalp is skin) flakes. Not washing it often enough allows dead skin cells to build up. Either could be your problem. Plus air is dryer in winter (if you're in winter now and not the S. hemisphere). This will also contribute to dry scalp.


If you actually have dandruff then no. Dandruff is caused by certain types of fungi. Dandruff shampoos have medications in them for this. Guava is useless against them.
