No. But then again, I don't believe in fate. I choose to ascribe to free will, governed by the laws of nature. Without fate, there can't be one person destined to me. However, that's not to say that there isn't one person who would be completely compatible with me, where there would be mutual physical, mental and emotional attraction and eventually love and commitment. Maybe you could consider this person a 'soulmate,' but I wouldn't. A person could have many of these so-called 'soulmates,' with varying degrees of compatibility.

Soulmate makes me think of someone who is destined for someone else. Fate, if nothing else, will bring them together. I don't believe in this. Dare I say it might be almost dangerous to radically believe in it? Maybe if you go around waiting for that perfect soulmate to suddenly appear and sweep you off your feet, and in the meantime you miss the person who you are compatibile with, and would create a beautiful relationship with you if you work at it. Basically, soul mates can make you lazy and blind.

I believe in searching for and creating love, not waiting for fate to bring it to me.

Yes, in that there are some people you meet who you just connect with so well that it's almost impossible to believe you're meeting for the first time. But no in terms of the split male/female soul looking to be reunited. Which might sound odd, seeing as my husband and I basically "fell in love at first sight" and haven't had a real argument in the six years we've been together (ie since we met).

I'm certainly sure that we were very lucky to meet and recognise each other, and I can't imagine living my life with anyone else, but I also can't rule out the possibility that there are others in the world with whom I might have found the same thing had I met them first.

Darling if you read this I hope you understand where I'm coming from - if not then it might be time to kiss that perfect "no fight" record goodbye! (Yeah, like I don't know he'd understand perfectly...)

Thanks for the question, something it was interesting to ponder in light of some of the reading I've been doing lately.

I believe we have several soul mates . Soul mates are our spiritual friends in heaven like what we call out friends on earth. I don't think that soul mates are specifically just our partner in life although it would be heavenly to end up marring one of your sole mates as it is to marry your best friend on earth. But soul mates are not just our marriage partner but our eternal friends. And as new friendships are made on earth so are new sole mates made in heaven . And if we are fortunate enough we can share our friendships in heaven and on earth . And as we are lucky to encounter our sole mates on earth we are blessed to find our friends in heaven. Who eventually become our sole-mates on earth. And that is why we seek our soul mate and make new Friends

Not in the traditional sense. I believe that when two people are joined together they become soul mates. Or one person.

Grace and peace to you.

Yes, which is I've decided to wait til marriage for any kind of sexual act. Marriage should be the ultimate way of expressing love. Call me crazy but I don't particularly like the fact of my soul mate being used by other guys to satisfy themselves so I won't do that to any women. I find porn disgusting now because of that.

cool, i got 2 thumbs down for being moral. perhaps i need to get laid.
