I was brought up Anglican (Episcopalian). My views are too liberal --even though I think these churches are progressive and inclusive-- because of my ideas on pantheism and I can't deny other religions intereptations of God.

I have been working worldwide gaining insight. I have lived in the East for more than ten years. My fiancee is Islamic. We have plans to move to the U.S.

It seems that liberal quakerism is familiar to my Calvinist (Hugenout ) and Anglican roots without denying the prescense of God in other relgions.

Spread the word not the dogma!

I have no idea how someone becomes the leader of a Quaker meeting; I think that you just need consensus from everyone in the meeting. But if you contact the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting they may be able to answer your questions or at least direct you to people that can.

I think, you are becoming unrealistic. If all the religions,so diverse in principles from each other, are measured with a single yardstick, the result shall be that you would not deny other religions' interpretation of God but shall be denying the God Himself. When all the prophets came they decried other religions merely because they were not leading to the path of God and they preffered to suffer for it.I think, your muslim fiancee is without real attachment to Islam or she is not fully aware of boarding a rudderless ship.

Heresy is a reality.
We don't get to make it what we want it to be.
Discover truth, we can't manufacture it.
