I was a bridesmaid at a wedding, and there was this really hot gorgeous guy, that I've met him once before. At first he ended up constantly dancing with this woman who happened to be older than him, and who happened to make a move on him at first. Then at the end of the wedding, he was next to me on the dance floor and he goes like to me "Why is it everytime when my shoes are out your always on it" I go and ask him afterwards and he starts joking with, I also ask him how he knew the bride and the groom, and then he goes like to me why don't you dance with me I'll tell you. So we danced we talked and everything, but he did not ask for my number

You have to offer your number, then we'll call. the guy can't do everything, he'll appreciate it if you take the first step. a lot more then you realize.

Did he ever say how he knew the wedding pair? Maybe he doesn't even know them, and afraid you'll find that out. Of course, you should know him because you know the bride so well. Or the groom's friends? Maybe they will know him? Gotta picture? That woman that wanted to suck his tonsils might know. Ask her.

maybe he was just shy and couldn't get the courage up to ask you why don't you get his # from the bride and call him and ask him to get together for a drink or something and then you will know if he says yes that he is interested

He obviously likes you for just a fling but is not interested in any long term relationship.
Depends on what you want from him. That will determine your next move; a fling, approach him; a long term commitment, forget it.

Perhaps he was not interested in more than a dance and a bit of flirting. If you see him again, you could be bold and give him your number.

maybe he has someone or he was being polite and didn't want to presume YOU didn't have someone...
speak to the bride/groom and find stuff out about him...
or maybe he just wasn't attracted to you...
