There are pets in heaven----many of them. There are also some cool species there that modern man has not seen on earth. God loves these creatures and their diversity--------lots of flowers also.

Think of every living form as a container. And consciousness/ soul as water.
Because water (consciousness) is without a fixed form it is able to fit any sized container (form/body). When the container is destroyed the water is then able to move back into the main body of water (source/god/One) and be redistributed into a new container. And because the ego is but a mental construct it's of no consequence when the identity/name of the container is destroyed.
So that being said, it's irrelevant if the 'soul' is that of a human or a dog. But, from what I've heard and read, it seems that human 'souls' appear to show up far more often to inform the 'souls' still within form than a dog or cat would care to. (?)
And as said, heaven is a state of being. Which means you don't need to discard your body to experience it here on earth.
so my answer is Yes they do, & will be in heaven long before any of us.

What matters what other people think? Some people might not think that you dog has a soul, but if you think he does, there is no reason you should care if others don't.

Animals don't have souls, BUT when they die, they *do* go to a heavenly place. There is planet reserved just for them. Do you think the name of the station 'Animal Planet' is a coincidence? Think again. I think God had a major role in the naming of that station, and YEP this planet IS in The Bible. My husband just found it the other day!

your dog is a soul...man is a soul....the soul that is sinning, it itself will die...when God made Adam in the garden he breathed into his nostrils and Adam became a living soul.
Sorry, your dog will not go to heaven, will not be resurrected. That privilege only extends to humans

Any of us who have loved a pet knows they have personality. I think that's a reflection of their spirit. It may not be the same as ours, but there seems to be something there. Even those California cows seem pretty spirited ;)

Catholics believe that pets don't have a soul and that they do not go to heaven. This is where they might be getting the idea from.

It's not that people think it. The Blble says so. It says only humans have souls.
