So if you like a guy and he likes you too

but you both are really good friends
so if you guys go out to have coffee or eat dinner one on one, would they be called "dates"?
why or why not?
the reason i am asking is b/c I want to get facts straight about my life. lol I mean I want to know whether I have gone on any dates in my life so far
i'm a girl (the id belongs to my bro)...

Dates are hard to define. I'm pretty sure I was "dating" my bf in college for 2 months before we went on a "date." We didn't really do the whole dinner and a movie thing in the beginning.

I think the definition of a date is the feeling involved. If you like the guy and he likes you...whatever you do is a date because you're building up to a relationship. So even if its just hanging out at his place or grabbing coffee, its a date.

if it's something friends would do then it's most likely a friend thing unless he does something that makes it otherwise.
going for dinner is friendsly, unless you guys are both flirting and ends up in a kiss
