I met her last week. Usually I wait about 2 or 3 weeks before I ask someone out. Not sure how long to wait for a shy girl.

You should wait longer. Probably around 6 months, maybe more if she is really shy.

Ask her our soonish, because if you wait too long she will think you are not interested in her. Find out what she is in2, like what her favourite thing is, a flower or what her fav animal, and get her a lil sumthing that relates to it. Then she will know that you are listening to her, it will wow her and make her think you are serious about dating her. Some shy girls are very cautious, so try,but not too hard or she will think some thing is up. Wait about the same time you normally would i guess.

Wait until you can make her laugh twice in a single conversation. Then she's comfortable with you.

You should ask when you're ready to ask, just be really nice about it and try to make her comfortable...
