Sleeping pills Can i take more then recommended?

I purchased Tylenol pm SIMPLY SLEEP a few weeks ago.

It i reccmmended to take 2 capsules (Diphenhydramine HCI 25 mg) in each capsule.
So reccommended is 2 capsues, which equals to 50 mg of that stuff.... can i take 4? Is it safe?

Whenever i take thereccomended dosage, it doesn't seem to work.

First of all, are you on other medications that might interact with the tylenol. sometimes when there are other drugs in your system other drugs won't work as well. Why do you need the sleep aid? Your doctor can prescribe one that would work better. I would not take 4, it just isn't safe. It can make you sick. I've got a hunch that you've already tried more than 2 at a time....if so please be careful and see your doctor. Diphenhydramine is Benadryl.

I usually take 1 capsule but I weigh 115 lbs so it's enough for me. You might want to try taking 3 capsules but try it on a weekend so that if you feel groggy or oversleep, you won't miss work.

nope - I would never take more than the recommended dosage

if it doesn't work - change to a different sleep medication that does!

i tryed all the over the counter stuff...does not work for me....i went to my Doctor...he prescribed Atarax...it is for motion sickness...not a narcotic.... not addict prone..makes you drowsy enough to sleep..i take them maybe two times a week for insomnia

thats nothing but a sinus pill, sinus pills dont make me sleepy. dont take more, see a doctor for ambien or something.
