The first half hour to an hour after a workout is the most crucial time to eat a balanced meal. After such high physical demand, your body is starving for vitamins, minerals, and especially protein, to begin reparing the cells you damaged during exercise. This is also the time when your body is burning the most calories and gets the most benefit out of the food you ingest, so make it a nutritionally sound meal.
You'll need plenty of protein right after a workout to repair damanged muscles. I would suggest several egg whites, chicken breast, or lean beef or pork. Stay away from anything with too much fat, as these foods will minimize your body's ability to utilize your protein intake.
Your body also needs good carbohydrates to restore blood sugar levels and energy. Potatoes, rice, and whole grain breads are good post workout choices because they provide the good carbs you need without the sugars and fats you dont.
And don't forget your vitamins. Eat at least one serving of brightly colored vegetables (i.e. carrots, broccoli, spinich, beets, etc.) with your post work out meal. Your body will be thirsting for fresh vitamins to begin its repairs to muscles and the immune system.
For people on the go, much like myself, I always recommend a good protein shake (low in fat, high in calories and protein) right after a workout. Its also a good idea to include a multi-vitamin with your meal, your body will thank you.

the best food with less calories is vegetable, fruites & water which is the most important thing u must drink 1.5 lit. per day .
i think from my own experience that u must eat everything but the important is the amount , for eg, i eat one good meal ( including meat or chicken & desert) in the day but for the rest of the day i eat vegetable & fruit.
