Some of the escalators on the London Underground seem incredible high (or deep, depending if you are going up or down).

I know the escalator on the Northern Line up to Euston mainline station is very long, but which are the six longest escalators on the London Underground and just how long are they?

The 6 longest escalators on the London Underground are as follow:

1. Angel Station on the Northern Line-City Branch are 197 feet or 60 meter long each

2. Westminster Station on the Circle, District, and Jubilee Lines are 104 feet or 32 meter long each

3. Morden Station on the Northern Line are 210 feet or 64 meter long each

4. Hampstead Station on the Northern Line are 192 feet or 59 meter long each

5. Holborn Station on the Piccadilly Line are 160 feet or 49 meter long each

6. Knightsbridge station on the Piccadilly Line are 130 feet or 40 meter long each

When I was in London on vacation several years ago, I asked an employee of the London Underground how many escalators are on the Underground. According to the employee more than 400 escalators in the system.
