As far as Islam is concerned we look at an atheist with
intrique because he has been born in a family that has practised religion ,but he is not able to accept their concept
of Gods, Idols, and forms of worship because of his logic or
power to reason.Every child born in a family evantually accepts what religion their parents are following so in that
context the Atheist should be congraluated that he does not
want to follow blind faith.Hence he instinctively says there is 'NO GOD',all we have to make him say now is''BUT ALLAH
[ the almighty] and he will be welcomed into the folds of Islam.
Islam also believes that Jesus[ pbuh] will come again, He will
not come with any new message bur he will judge by the Holy
Quran which is the last and final message of God almighty
which was revealed to prophet Muhammed[ pbuh].Now his
real reason for comming is not to Damn the atheist to hell, but
to put the record straight that neither was he a God,or a son of God,nor was he crucified nor did he die,The christians of
that time will then believe in the one and only one God and will
be saved,Jesus[pbuh]will fight the antichrist and will Die for
the first time and then he [pbuh] will be resurected.
The christians have no need to de irritated with the atheist
because they cannot answer to the concepts and Doctrines
they are following, Rather they should start asking the Church
serious questions about what is being preached to them.

We don't hope that atheists will be damned to hell.
Christ would have no one to perish, but to instead have eternal life through Him. Since a Christian seeks the will of God in their life, it is also our hope that no one would perish.
I'm sure there are some Christians that have more zeal than knowledge and end up getting frustrated and impatient even to the point of showing anger. They need to grow, but in the meantime could end up hurting the very people they want to help understand.
I think there could be several reasons a Christian can become irritated. One other large one is when we are baited to either give an answer(not only here) or aid of some sort, and then we end up being attacked or ridiculed.

We don't. We are hoping for you to come into the light at some point before that. True Christians don't want to see anyone damned. We just have some rightious indignation when it comes to matters such as violence and hatred. And, for the record, I'm neither offended by nor irritated by athiests. I can't say I want a constant discussion with them relating to God or the lack of Him in their lives but I do have some friends who do not believe. I pray for them, never condemn! One more thing... the issue of constantly burning in hell came from an old religious cult called molechism. If you study the Word proper you will find out what hell really is.

Real Christians don't hope that anyone will get damned. Haven't you ever seen those people trying to "save" other people by yelling and holding up signs? It's the wrong approach, but good intentions.
Besides, what I have noticed, is that Atheists tend to act like know-it-alls or jerks. I'm not saying ALL of them are, but it's a trend i've been noticing in them. Also, sometimes some atheists don't usually discuss Christianity, but insult it, which isn't very nice.

Big generalization.... A) I don't think Jesus damns people to hell, I believe people choose to go there, that being said B) I don't want atheists to go to hell, I know too many that I like and C) Christians aren't supposed to want anyone to go to hell.

Although not all Christians hope that Jesus returns and damns athiests to hell, the ones that do probably do because they want some event to occur that would justify their blind faith in Christianity.

You may notice that there are a FEW mockers around. I am sure it is frustration with them. You shouldn't take things personally. EVEN I type some things when I see a particularly crude or off colour question.
With some people, I wouldn't want to be them for judgment.

As an atheist, I, for one, find the belief in damnation to hell absolutely disgusting. For a person to internalize and accept such a belief as "truth" is truly depraved behavior. It is one of the things that makes atheists believe not only that Christians are delusional, but that their delusions are divisive, dehumanizing and dangerous. Maybe they don't "hope for" it, but they believe it's going to happen unless we "see the light", which is basically a cop-out. I chose not to believe that hell exists, they chose to believe it does. They chose to believe that something terrible is going to happen to me unless I accept their beliefs. That doesn't make someone a good person as far as I'm concerned.
They have all kinds of rationalizations for it, but what it boils down to is this: if they believe they're going to heaven, then they also believe that others are going to hell, and they're OK with that, or they wouldn't ascribe to that belief.
The majority of them dislike atheists because atheists dislike them, and one of the reasons for that is that you can't deal with someone who truly believes that you are going to suffer eternal suffering at some future time. Whether they want to save you or not is not the point, they still believe it, and it's a horrid way in which to view other people.

Some Christians may dislike Atheists because they refuse to believe what they believe. That's it. Because they're different and won't bow down to their will. In all of human history, there is something deeply disturbing about those who are different. Those Christians forget one of Jesus's own teachings, however... Love your neighbor as you love yourself... no matter who he may be.

For me, atheists are a passtime. They're usually bigoted toward Christianity and pretend to be educated. I like shining a spotlight on them and watching them scurry away.
