He didn't offer to pay for my lunch. he is the one who asked me for lunch and i thought he is a romantic guy....it doesn't mean i don't wanna pay.it was just very reasonable lunch. just because i felt he didn't have intension to treat me really well. we had a great time at park after lunch though.i think he started like me on that day. are you guys don't care much about what women feel if you didn't pay on first date? or shouldn't i feel like this way? what if he never offer to pay for my meal in future? i wanna be treated like a princess. please give me your opinion.

if u wanna be treated like a princess so act like one. who cares what he thinks? the important thing is what u think and how u feel. i have never payed for myself not on first not on second not on third date. never. i got loads of entertainment, presents and love. and they were just happy to pay for me. if they weren't - they were gone with the wind with the speed of the wind and i never even bothered to remember their faces. so i say u might feel like paying half or all the time or whatever. but. PAYING ON THE FIRST DATE FOR A GIRL is a MUST. if some losers do not realise it so dump them immediately

If he invited you then he was the host, and should have paid for the lunch. This does not bode well for you if you want to be treated like a princess.

Usually there is give and take in a relationship, and sooner or later you would reciprocate in some manner appropriate to your means... but for a first date... hmmm.... he is obviously not going out of his way to impress you, so unless you're really desperate I don't see a future here.

Well, he might have been afraid you'd be insulted if he tried to pay for your meal--some girls are like that. Or maybe he didn't have enough money and was afraid to tell you. If you like this guy, you're going to just have to put up with some things you don't like, just like he'll have to put up with some things he doesn't like about you. There are so many more ways to be treated like a princess other than having a guy pay for your meal.

first off i wanna let u kno that as a guy i never let my girl pay for me on anything. with that being said, maybe he was just broke and felt like u should cover it. give the guy a chance to redeem himself, maybe he was just testing u. but now u gotta make it known that that cant be a habit. let him kno that it is okay for u to pay for him and you sometimes but not all the time cus the he is gonna take advantage of u.

I agree with you. Wouldn't feel excited about a 2nd date at all.
