are there any psychological, mental ro physical effect to a person who works in the call center industry, especially if they work opposite their normal sleeping hours?

i work 6 pm to 6 am - this definintely messes with my system
i quit working at the call center becuz i dialed ppl and asked to continue their support - so many people would tell me "soandso died last week," then start to cry. I would spend 15 minutes consoling them and then feel bad for asking the dead for money....

it affects our mentality, there r many cases in which workers r suffering from mentally disease, it also affects physically coz have to seat and more then 80 % employees r habitate with drink, smoking, sex etc, coz there is easy money u r getting with various allowances etc.
