The drugs that police officers seize are sealed and marked as evidence and usually stored by the court once charges are pending. The chain of custody is documented, and a portion of the drugs seized will be used for testing to confirm that what was seized is an illegal substance. Once it is no longer needed it is destroyed.

It is packaged in a sealed envelope with special evidence tape wrapped around it to keep people from tampering with it, and then it is shipped to a special place where they destroy it. Before they do that, they test a small sample with special kits we have to tell how strong the drug is, and what kind it is. Then they weigh it and then they package it up.

It is tested, then stored in evidence lockers untill after the trial and all appeals. After that the officers all have a big party. ( ok no they don't have a big party, the drugs are destroyed)

It is kept in evidence util it is no long needed (after the trial) then we destroy it, most of the time it is incinerated, unless doing so would be a hazard.

They put it into evidence. Some cops may keep the drugs for themselves if it is a small amount and they let the person they caught with them go with a warning. It depends on the officer, the amount and if the person who had it will be charged for it.
