Just how many people direct and indirectly have the Vatican killed over the past 2000 years? and why?

If you take into account accepted involvement in Papal armies, in the Inquisition, in the new world and Africa, just how many?

See: http://one-faith-of-god.org/final_testament/end_of_darkness/evil/evil_0200.htm
for a century by century listing.

Why have they killed so many people?

How many? Only God knows. Why? Power. Plain and simple. They changed the way the bible was written, they changed the laws, they made women inferior, (or tried), and did everything in their power to assume more power and control. They took parts of the bible out because they thought that "the common man was not intelligent enough to understand" them. I"m not really fond of the vatican.

They have killed millions and, like many other denominations of Christianity and many other major religions and denominations of those religions have killed millions throughout history, I think that they kill because once they believe that they are right and everyone who doesn't agree with that assessment is wrong they at times are willing to do whatever it takes to either convert or silence those who don't believe as they do.Religion is the ultimate expression of intolerance because it reinforces a one view attitude without any room for acceptance of opposing views.

Your link is not an unbiased source. Neither you nor your link can provide hard evidence to support your charges. If your source came from Wiki or google maybe I will take your accusations seriously.

Jesus warned his Church that there would be people like you who will persecute us. So what you are doing is a fulfillment of his prophecy and I want to thank you for it.

"Happy are those who work for peace; God will call them his children! Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires; the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them! Happy are you when people insult you and persecute you and tell all kinds of evil lies against you because you are my followers. Be happy and glad, for a great reward is kept for you in heaven. This is how the prophets who lived before you were persecuted." (Matthew 5, 9-12)

"Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you, for God will judge you in the same way you judge others, and he will apply to you the same rules you apply to others>" (Matthew 7,3)

St. Paul had the same words for people like you.

"So then, let us stop judging one another. We must always aim at those things that bring peace and that help strengthen one another." (Romans 14, 13a.19)

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to answer your question.
May the Lord's peace be with you!

15 million? maybe that's low,the crusades, killing i million cathars, they were a Hindu/catholic hybrid and the pope killed 1+ million women baby's,children, and men, to exterminate them from the face of the earth.and the inquisition.

in the middle ages a lot of people were stupid, and thought that by killing the people you would kill the religion.nut that regrettably didn't work with Christianity.

"My hope is that I can genuinely help people, that I avoid being arrogant in my questions and answers and that I am known as nothing more than a decent human being. As for fame and fortune, other than being comfortable, I seek nothing."

I will answer the later part of the question. They murdered thousands of people because they would not convert to Catholicism.
