I have no desire for it, but nether do I fear it.

Do you believe this in it self is a sin?

What good could hell possibly be except as a tool of fear, since once you get there nothing else you do could ever matter?

Latino, I will admit that you point out some very scary stuff. But all those things can happen to me right here on earth, and they happen even to the relatively righteous. I don't doubt there is a Hell and I am sure it's no fun. But is it enough to really make one good?

how can u scare from some thing that u are not sure what exactly its look like?

i think there is just one thing that we really should scare from it. it is god's anger about our sins.

why we do call them sins? because they hurt us or hurt others.

hell and heaven is inside us, when we are in peace we live in heaven.

Hello Twoeyes

I'll let you judge whether it is a sin or not by considering the following: If your saved then you won't fear hell. If not, then is it God's will that you should be spiritually numb?

Hell is not meant to be a tool. Imagine you are the head of your household. You have many children of various ages, the oldest ones over 18. You expect order in your home. Imagine if some of your oldest kids rebelled against your authority and did things that made the house hell to live in and put the rest of the family's safety and well being at risk.
Would you put up with this, or would you put them out for the sake of the rest of your children, even though you'd hate to do it.

These are the very circumstances we thrust upon God. If He let everyone spend eternity with Him, all the rebellious and unrepentant, then heaven will be no better than earth.

Imagine your kids knocking on your door and asking you "Dad, what do we have to do to for you to let us come back home?" What would you tell them?
I would tell them there must be a change in their hearts and minds and turn away from the things that caused the problems to begin with.

God is saying to us "When are you going to stop trying to be the god of your own life and let me be in charge?"

Are you a christian or not? If you are, then you need not fear a place you know you will not go, therefore this is no sin. If you are not a christian, it's not a sin not to fear hell, it's just plain foolish, because that's where you wll end up. Fear can be a good thing if it is to deter us from something or someone for our own well being -- like hell if you are a nonchristian. But, God tells us in His Word that He does not give us a spirit of fear, in that we are to put our faith and trust in The Lord of our lives. And once we are born again, we need not fear.

Forget Hell. Let me ask you this. Do you believe in Heaven? Do you want to go there? Do you think there is nothing after we Die? These are the more important questions. If you believe as I do, that heaven is a place of peace, love and eternal bliss, then you should want to be assured that you are going there. Then you will have no fear of hell. I do not fear hell because I believe in Gods promise. He said that if I confess my sins He his faithful to forgive and to save me. If you do the same, you will not have to fear hell. Heaven is a gift of Gods grace.

I don't think it is a sin.... I mean why fear Satan? He is pretty much pathetic. I guess I fear hell because ever since I have found God I don't want to be separated from Him, but since you don't desire hell, I don't think you do either.

Unless you aren't a Christian and then you will BURN!!! just jking lol, but if you aren't a Christian, it really doesn't matter if it is a sin or not right?

As a Christian why would you fear Hell? You know that you are not going there so there is no reason to fear it. But just the fact that you are asking this question makes me wonder if you are questioning your faith. I would seek direction from a pastor or close christian mentor. Don't let your spirtual life depend on answers from this forum. It's just too important to take the risk.

nicely at the start I have no clue why Christians say Jews are heaven sure, Jews REJECT jesus. They see him as a cult chief, and ALL Jewish scholars say Jesus did not fulfill the OT prophecies. Christians say Jesus is the god of the jews, yet Moses in no way bowed all the way down to Jesus. And yeah i'm Muslim and that i've got Christians asserting directly to my face I would desire to repent and settle for Jesus. nicely Islam honor Jesus as a Prophet of God, so I already settle for him. Christians declare Muslims deny Jesus' divinvity and all, yet final time I checked ALL religions don't have self assurance in Jesus! Muslims and Christians are the only ones who have self assurance in him!! between the justifications Christians upport Jews is as a results of that Armageddon thimg, the place many Jews will actually be compelled to transform to Christianity, A parable you will locate is in Luke 19:27 the place Jesus suggested to kill people who do not call him king, and this rather is this form of unfavorable verse, Christians take this actually. Christian prophecy has it that purely a hundred and forty four 000 Jews will stay Jews, others would be switched over because of the messiah returning to Israel. we want Christians and Jews to sit down down on the table and get issues straightened out. traditionally Christians and Jews fought many wars with one yet another, and Christian prophecy has it that it will ensue returned. i in my view don't get why Judaism and Christianity contradict the hell outta eachother in the event that they're meant to be sister religions.

Well Hell no! It comes off as an easy scare tactic for the simple minded to gain compliance and power. Probably just an exaggerated myth. Maybe really bad people like child molesters get the great eternal deep fat fryer but I think the worst a person could do that never really harmed other people is maybe just die and that's it. No reward no punishment, just simply cease to be.

You said it yourself to Latino,
in your words " Is Hell enough to make one good'?
sorry but what a silly ans/Q
Though I am trying to read between the lines here &
How could hell make anyone good. Your there forever mate& I don't want to go into the ugly deatils
No-one is good or can be without the beatiful cleansing blood of Jesus, that makes every one who repent.
I know you know this. Please re-dedicate your life to God & ask him to gently show you what it could have been like in hell. You'll know when hHe speaks to you. Why not ring & ask your Pastor now, he'll be so glad- happy to hear from you! & chat?

Just make sure that you are not presently on your way to hell(and I have no idea whether you are or not, not knowing you). Sometimes fear can be for our own benefit. If you lose your fear of Bengal tigers and just walk right into the tigers cage, you could get killed.
