Usually the mold on bread is penicillian. Unless you have an allergy it won't hurt you. Even if it is another type of mold you won't have eaten enough to worry about. You'll be fine.

It very much depends upon what the mould is. Some moulds are harmless, while others can cause illness. If you still have any of the bread left and you've got a receipt from the shop where you bought it, take it back and show them the evidence. Make it clear to them that you intend to take the matter up with your local health inspectors at your town hall. If these people are selling mouldy bread, what happens if there is an outbreak of some illness or other among those who have purchased the bread? Your local newspaper and the media in general would like to hear about this. Day old bread should not have mould.

Hope all will be okay with you.

Eating molded bread isn't healthy, but isn't a severe threat either. Most bacteria and molds will not survive the acid in your stomach.
If you haven't experienced immediate effects: an
upset stomach within 24 hours, or enteritis (diarrhea,
cramps) within 2 or 3 days, there is nothing to
worry about.

Drink some kind of carbonated soft drink or strong coffee or tea...... as hot as possible, to kill the mold that may have ( but probably didn't ) survive your stomach acid.

I would take the bread back (take a picture of the bread and packaging first ) and contact your doctor if you feel sick.

I hope you're okay.....

Other than probably being a bit gassy, you'll be fine. In fact there may infact be a health benefit to eating low doses of certain molds including those common to breads. I could site the studies but it is painfully boring reading. Good luck.

Mould cant do any harm to the human body - if you think about it cheese is a typr of mould and we eat that in spades - so bring that bread back and complain.

Nothing, you'll be fine... might even be good for you, penicillin is mould after all. It's just the thought of it. I was eating a microwaved meal once, and when I'd nearly finished, I found a fly, all microwaved and crispyon the top. I couldn't eat for THREE days.. still feel sick now..

Mould on cheese is fine..mould on bread not so good..but you will be fine.. Either throw the bread out, or take it back to the store.

Nothing will happen to you, dont worry.

Do you like blue cheese? As these all contain mould.

And also the antibiotic penecilin is made from mould.

if you didn't get a bum stomach then you are ok. mold is not really so toxic. the biggies are mushrooms, and some expensive cheeses go with mold.
