Why do you need a Book of Mormon? When the Bible is God's Holy word? Galations 5 says, if you add to or take from his word to him be acursed? Havent you done that with the book of Mormon, saying its the other testament of Jesus Christ? Havent you added to the Bible? Havent you basically stated that the Bible isnt good enough, and we will make it better by adding thus?

You say I have judged the Book of Mormon without reading it. Granted I couldnt stand reading the entire text. But I was given a copy of the Book of Mormon, and it appeared to me to be a deliberate attempt on the authors parts to make it as much like the Bible as humanly possible. Just so that is clear I have read portions of your book. I found nothing in it that I can honestly say gave me a revalation. It appears to be written as a way to manipulate people.

I believe exactly what you said. So many men add to the word of God. But God does warn us about these people. It's not just the book of mormon but other so called bibles too. False prophets and false teachers.

Let me clarify this from the other answres you have received, as I am LDS:

The Book of Mormon is not and "addition" to the Bible, it is simply another testemant of Jesus Christ. It has a witness of Christ in the Americas. Like the Bible, it is also divinely inspred and written by servants of God. We also read the King James Version of the Bible. So it is not a part of the Bible, it is a whole seperate book.

The Book of Mormon isn't adding to God's word, it is just another writing and expounding of His word. Meaning, there is nothing that God has or will reveal that will contradict His word in the Bible or anywhere else; it is just a second written testimony or witness. The Bible is a great book/scripture and the Mormons study it dilligently and hold it to be truth, but they don't limit themselves or shut themselves off from further revelation or testimony of God and Christ.

The thing about the Bible is that there were 30+ Gospels and many other books that never made it into the Bible. The Bible as it is today is a collection of books chosen by early Church leaders. And the Bible was written by man to express God, so you can't take many things literally. Like slavery, killing your child who speaks against you, etc...

People get so wrapped up in the Bible that they miss out on the universal God who is above any written words.

The Bible is the final Word of God and needs no additional books. Most of the cults either adds something to the Bible or tries to remove certain truths. The Bible is complete!

We believe the Book of Mormon to be another Testament of Jesus Christ. I love the Bible, but God has provided us more books, why should we deny them?

I follow the teachings of the Bible, and the BoM. Both I hold dearly to my life. I believe Joseph Smith was a prophet and I believe our Church is true.

God bless you =)

You don't need it. You are right. The "most correct book on earth" doesn't support the majority of current Mormon belief.

Yes, Mormons add onto God's word, and act like it's not good enough. They are going to Hell unless they repent.

If you are truly worried about your friends that are morman's there are alot of books that deal with that subject in Christian book stores or online. But the best thing is prayer God will answer.
