First of all, think with an open mind. If you smoke weed, you can't tell me you're that close minded to believe in god. Second.... Most governments are quit notorious for taxing or banning anything that gives you some sort of pleasure. Amsterdam was the first to clue in on that, and turned it around in their favor. Way to go Amsterdam! Canada was almost there! But then those Conservative Thugs got in to power again, Stephen Harper put a stop on the decriminalization of weed, and now instead of getting a fine. You could go to jail. A Liberal party will always be more in favor of regulating and decriminalizing marijuana. It's just a matter of time before it happens. 50 years ago you didn't hear swearing on Television. Look at it now. Let's hope it doesn't take that long with the current issue!

Weed is illegal because a government decided its use is immoral and could lead to addiction to more dangerous drugs and criminal activity. Preventative law I would say. Not everything the government does is right. God created people, but Man makes mistakes. If you believe weed should be legal, do your best to work in this world He created, influence your fellow man to change the laws... we do live in a democracy after all.

Looks like you are confused over what is a matter of legality and what is a matter of moral right/wrong. What is legal may not be morally right while what is morally right may not be legal. For example, in Malaysia the freedom to believe is a moral right yet it is illegal to convert from a Muslim to another faith. Also, some countries have legallised prostitution but that does not make it morally right.

Is that sarcasm? There is no separation of church/state, with Bush in office...the very fact that he justified going to war because God told him, prove this.

What we do have is pure double standards...like many things in life.

Believe it or not...I saw this on the history channel...
the DuPont corporation lobbied to make weed illegal because they invented nylon and wanted to eliminate hemp rope.
so they created a whole bunch of propaganda films about how bad it was and how it caused black men to rape white women and they showed these films to congress...
Congress believed the propaganda and made it illegal

I've just read this question and I feel dizzy with the stupidity I've just read. God created marijuana, but not to be smoked as the drug that costs many lives yearly, He created for the good of humanity and to be use to cure, not fly and to kill your self.

good question
weed can sometimes kill people inadvertently and we love people more than the earth-obvious
if weed was legal america couldnt grow the top shi* like heroin in columbia and we would have to pay taxes to get it here and on top of that, drug dealers would be out of a job
