Very, very few stores have layaway plans anymore, and I am relatively certain (but not positive) Best Buy does not. Also ... before you make purchases at Best Buy, please do some research on this company. They have been sued and brought up on charges numerous times for their borderline business practices.

a good way of being able to afford the things that you want (though granted this won't help you get an advertised price if you don't have the money yet) ... but anyway ... every time you get paid, set aside a certain amount of money ... as much as you can. Put it in a place where you won't be tempted to get in to it, or even open a savings account at a bank or credit union. Live more frugally for awhile to set aside more. Drink water instead of soda, fix meals at home instead of eating out, etc. Never spend your change, daily put it away. You will be amazed at how quickly the savings will add up if you are diligent!
