Try reading lots of books and material that you enjoy. Its a good way to get your attention and not get bored from learning. By reading, not only will you entertain yourself, but you will also pick up on things like grammer, spellings and meanings of specific words by putting them into concepts. Keep a dictionary on hand in case you hit something that you dont understand.

You can also conversate but a lot of times it can be embaressing if you dont understand what they other person is saying and conversational english is not always grammatically correct. Hope this helps! :)

Are you talking about making a speech? Try practicing in front of a mirror and speaking out loud as you do so.

Test prep books for all the current standardized tests are available in all good book stores. Your public library might also have a section on them. Certainly your school library should have them, as well as preparation classes that are free or low cost.

Rephrasing your question to: What is one of the best ways to speak English well? would be a start in the right direction to speaking well. Unfortunately, good grammar and proper enunciation are no longer practiced in today's public schools.

It is never easy to learn another language.

I would say you should:

1) Use a TOEFL preparation guide
2) Watch English language films - without subtitles! I think it helps sometimes if you watch a movie you know well, so you can focus on the language and not the story
3) Read as much English language stuff as you can! Try online magazines like Slate or Salon, the news stories on Yahoo, or some books online for free here:

And in the week leading up to your examination, try to think in English as much as you can! Just waking up, or having your breakfast, think of the words in English, even say them out loud.

By read A LOT........it would also help you if you took some grammar and linguistic courses at a nearby community college, it is an inexpensive. I know there are some courses designed especially to pass it.Try to talk to people who have gone through the same exam, most of the time they have great advice and it is comforting to know someone who went through the same things you are.
