I'm very sorry to hear this! I know how it feels! I lost my friends to pot! As soon as we started "toking" we all changed into diferent people. Some of us are different now some are not.
We all change as we grow there is no exception to that rule, and its very hard to watch the friends you knew slip away. My advise to you is to tell your friend exactly how you feel tell her you miss the old buddy that you liked so much! If that dosn't work then i don't know.
Remember that your just in high school! You have many many years to meet and make new friends! A childhood friend that lasts throughout teen years and into adulthood is VERY rare and a gift. Unfortunatly sometimes it just dont work like that.
Hope that is of some help?

Sorry to say, there isn't a lot you can do. People sometimes drift apart, especially during high school. Try to keep in contact with her and plan to spend time together. Maintaining the friendship is the most effective thing you can do.

people change. she is exploring different personalities and ways to be. It is good to try new and different things, why don't you do the same? You will always know where to find each other if you need to.

your friend is changing, you cant change that. just be there for her. it doesnt mean that she doesnt need you anymore. you could also try to widen your circle of friends..
