You must visit Phuket, the largest island in Thailand. It has excellent sandy beaches, first-rate accommodations, vibrant nightlife, and a shopping haven for bargain hunters (same stuff as you'd find in Hong Kong). If you love nature, wild life, or water sports, Phuket is the place for you.
And then there's always Bangkok - typical Asian major city; a good mix of modernity (highrisers/tech'l conveniences) and tradition (food offerings, temples).

The beaches are good in places like phuket, Bangkok is really cheap specially the night market a must visit, be careful of the traffic there. Theres getting laid too.
