Hi all,
I've asked a girl out for a movie date in an hour's time. We used to be schoolmates, but we never talked. Recently, I've made it known to her that I liked her, over the Internet. I'm now wondering what I should be doing during the date (which comprises of dinner at an undecided location too).

Issues include how to offer to pay for her, and things like deciding where to eat (she's the indecisive type), and topics to talk about, and stuff. Need answers fast! thanks.

take charge.

you step up and ask for 2 tickets to the movie.

you suggest 2 different places to eat, and let her choose. if she can't decide, pick the first one and say "we can do the other one next time".

topics - start with "what did you do today?"
and you can follow with any of the "getting to know you" questions...where is she from, how many in her family, what she is doing at school or work, etc.

be yourself and have fun!

have a nice date!

ok easy ?'s include, how was ur day, wut u'd u do? just act like a friend, really casual like uve hung out 100 times, and this is just an ordinary night. also, pick out 2 restaurants u like, maybe 1 italian, and 1 american (burgers n such) and ask her wut she'd prefer. if she doesnt care make a decision. Deciesive men are very sexy. no girl wants a flimsy guy! after the movie talk about it! wut did u think of this and that. and the conversation will hopefully start to flow naturally. But just remember let her talk. if she starts to tell story and it reminds u of somethin u did, dont interupt, listen! hear her! and then share ur tale. OH makes lots of eye contact, it shows ur confident, even when ur not. and she cant read minds, so its okay, u can fake confidence for a little bit and then it'll just be real. Dont offer to pay, just pay, just take the bill and pay as though its not even an issue and she's absurd for wanting to pay or split.
Oh and music and movies and stupid friends who make bad decisions are always good topics. its funny to laugh about ur friends and dumb stuff they do, it breaks the ice and gives u an inside look into her life.

Do you know what her favorite foods are? If so, go someplace that serves them.
As far as what to talk about...this is the hardest part of dating. just remember to relax and that pauses aren't necessarily bad. She's probably nervous too. Talk about what is going on in both of your lives. Maybe you have similar interests in books, movies, or TV. If so, there's another thing to talk about. You've obviously talked to her online. Try to consider this conversation as nothing different, you're just face to face this time.

As to the paying for dinner thing, go for the check when it arrives. If she insists that you let her pay for her half, let her. Some girls feel uncompterful having their date pay, others don't.

Have a good time!

To be honest with you, I've just realized that nothing works better than just being humorous. Act like you would around any other girl. As for paying, just be like "dinner's on me tonight miss", or make a joke of it somehow. And just to make the "putting your arm around her" not to akward, make a joke about it. Be like how many shoulders are there here? And start with yours, until you get to her last one, and put it around her shoulder. Stupid, but will work if your nervous! (I realize i'm only 15, but I do know this stuff quite well). Just make the situation humorous and you will have no problems! Oh, and as for deciding where to eat, walk down a street with lots of restaurants and see what really catches her eye! Hope this helps.

First of all, just relax and be yourself. Just pay for everything, if she has a problem with that, then work it out when it happens. Give her a choice of places to eat instead of just asking "where do you want to eat". Talk about what interests you and see if you can get her to start talking about herself. Have a nice time! Hope that was helpful.

1. Pay for her meal.

2. If she can't decide, ask her what type of food she likes. Is she vegetarian? Does she like Thai? etc etc

3. Talk about things the two of you have been doing since you lost track of each other....even if you've already talked over the Net. It's nice to talk F2F.

offer to pay for her meal and if she doesnt want you to then let her pay for hers. dont be all over her on your first date because thats a real turn off !!
just talk about things you have in common or when you used to go to school together

So since she's indecisive, don't ask her where she wants to go, ask her what she likes but limit it to one option:

"Do you like Italian?"
"Yes"
"Pizza it is then!"
And then you take her to your favorite ghetto pizza joint.

If she says no:
"Do you like Italian?"
"No"
"Me neither, they smell funny"

Hmm, as far as paying for her, you should have said "It's on me" or "My treat" when you asked her out. But when you pick her up, I guess you can say "Just because I'm paying, don't feel obligated to put out...unless you want to--haha, I'm just kidding. I don't like sex."

Or you can just be honest:
"I don't know how you feel about having guys pay for you (or if you take offense to it) when you go out, but I would really love to treat you tonight."

i kno this probably doesnt help much but ask her where she wants to eat, just pay for it, and talk about oldtimes at school back when you two were school mates and your curent life.

hope i helped! =)
