I have a condition called Dysautonomia which causes me to have low blood pressure. However, I also have TMJ (jaw) and the pain from it is killing me. Is there a muscle relaxer out there that's safe for me to take?

A friend of mine has TMJ and dislikes taking medication. She typically uses a warm compress against her jaw for 20 minutes a couple of times each day.

I am not familiar with any OTC muscles relaxants that don't have a warning contraindicating their use in patients with hyper and hypo-tension.

My brother died from taking to much muscle relaxer, he was 46. Had he not been taking too much muscle relaxers his heart would not have stopped. His heart stopped, remember when taking those the heart is one giant muscle. Taking baby asprins help with low blood pressure and are only 80 mil of asprin and won't cause stomach ulsers. It will thin your blood a little and relieve a little pain. Ask you doctor if its safe first. Try to never take the same medicine for more than three days without taking a little break every now and then. I recommend alternating and substituting with a natural remedy every now and then, because pills can be addictive and make you dependant. Some doctors say when you have back pain not to take so much as you can't feel it, because then you can't tell when your worsening it. I hope you feel better, look into natural pain remedies.

...Hhhmmmmm, don't know about the jaw area, but I got a tube of Foot re-juvenator at Dollar General store for my feet......but it might not work on the jaw... Your Dr. would know of the proper thing to use...
Apple Cider vinegar is supposed to be good for a lot of things....try mixing it with water... half water, half vinegar, and rub on the jaw...keep it away from eyes...
