I Been Itching on the inner and back of my legs since Christmas than since mid Jan thro Feb I turned into a full body rash that itched. I first both me and the doc thought it was a reaction to fiberglass at work. But now he says it looks more like scabbies. I see these little tiny dots that look like mini freakles and moles or splinters. now too. I got both creams and not sure its doing anybetter. I washed everything in hot water and dried high heat.. There from feet to head now i think.

I'm not sure what type of cream your doctor gave you but. All scabies are is body lice. So all you need is the same over the counter chemical used to get rid of head lice. Like RID. You wash your whole body down with it. If possible wash the things you come into contact with the most with it too. Then give your home a good wash down. If you have a girl/boyfriend they should get treated as well. In fact anyone that has be in very close contact with you should check themselves. Including animals. It's really not that big a deal anyone can get them. It's fairly common especially for people with cats or small children that play in the sand. Just go to your local drug store and buy some lice meds. Get a few boxes and wash yourself from head to toe. Good luck luv and don't scratch. Oh yeah if you want to know if it's really scabies. You can get some ink or a marker. Put the ink on one of the openings where the rash is. If the ink begins to spread through out the area you've got it. Your doctor should have tested you before diagnosing you. Here is a link that may help.

Ouch dude! I must say I feel your pain. While it is embarassing, normal people do get these horrible things. My husband worked at a prison and an inmate had them,,,not knowing at the time, and while doing a "shake down" of the cell, he brought the nasty critters home. Just from items touching the pant legs. And I am a clean freak, so when I found out we had them, I freaked out. Benadryl,,,,didn't work on me. Calamine lotion, yeah right. The med staff at the prison suggested plain ole lice treatment, rub on the body, head to toe and let stay on overnight. Sounds harsh and all, but was the only thing I could find to get rid of them. Had to do another treatment one week later. And I washed and washed in HOT water.... And believe me, you get to a point you would set yourself on fire if that would help. The itching is the worst I've ever experienced. Good luck!!

Has the doc offered you an oral antihistamine {like Benadryl}
These can help itching from various maladies while you begin to heal [it will take time as it has been in/on your system a while so it wont disappear overnight]

Also AVENO baths are helpful in some cases but be careful hot water can make the itching much worse as it brings out histamine in the skin.

I am surprised doc took so long to diagnose this, he/she should have sent you to a dermatologist much earlier in treatment. I would seek ones opinion as they know skin problems better than anyone and they know better remedies for skin issues. Good luck!

are you sure its scabbies? scabbies usually begin with intense itching between the fingers during the night. if you have them and are using the cream they should go away. you need to completely cover your body with the cream from the neck down, wash off 8 hours later, in two days repeat. you should also scrub your entire house. wash everything that can be, from bed linens to curtains to clothing you haven't worn, etc...you need to scrub carpets and disinfect everything in your house. this is the only way to get rid of them. your doctor should have told you this when he thought you had them

You need a better doctor, there is a medicine to use, I thinks it's fungal cream that you use on it to get rid of it. My brother in law gave my sister scabies and she gave them to me. They live right under the layers of the skin. Get over the counter fungal cream like foot funal cream, I can't think of them right now, but there for foot fungal and jock itch. The drug store clerk can tell you where it is. Pick the one that actual says kills fungal.. And get a bath in Hexol. It also kills fungal. And put 70 percent alchohol in a spray bottle. These are three things that saved me. They are gross little white mites, but they do go away.

Have you researched what scabies is?
In severe cases, the creams may not be sufficient and you will need to take an oral medication as well. I've included the link to the WebMD article on scabies. I would consult your doctor again.

Try soaking in Epsom salt and rubbing alcohol simultaneously. My Grandma gave my cousin this old remedy when he had something similar to that.

Have you looked at WebMD or tried any alternative medicine methods? They might have some suggestions.

visit the doctor again if the meds aren't working. you could be misdiagnosed and need to see a dermatologist.
