They dissappeared. I know that I need a prescription and all that. My doctor doesn't want to prescribe it anymore in fear that she'll lose her license, which leaves me addicted and needing it. I'm having a hard time finding a pharmacy online in the US. I take one every night for the past six years so don't ask me to quit or to see another doctor because no one wants to prescribe it in fear that they will lose their license. No judgments please.

Xanax is a tranquilizer used in the short-term relief of symptoms of anxiety or the treatment of anxiety disorders. Anxiety disorder is marked by unrealistic worry or excessive fears and concerns. Anxiety associated with depression is also responsive to Xanax.
Xanax and the extended-release formulation, Xanax XR, are also used in the treatment of panic disorder, which appears as unexpected panic attacks and may be accompanied by a fear of open or public places called agoraphobia. Only your doctor can diagnose panic disorder and best advise you about treatment.
Some doctors prescribe Xanax to treat alcohol withdrawal, fear of open spaces and strangers, depression, irritable bowel syndrome, and premenstrual syndrome.

Alprazolam has a limited licence. The overall duration of treatment should not be more than 8-12 weeks, INCLUDING a tapering off process. Your GP should have either agreed to gradually withdraw this medication or should have referred you for drug rehabilitation to help you.

This is a drug which should never have been being supplied without a doctors prescription. Advice seek out a doctor willing to give or arrange for you help in stopping this addictive drug.
