Why do teachers have a "teachers pet"?

2 years ago my sister was teachers pet to her l.a teacher.now, i have her and she hates me. she yelled at me for looking at her!!! and my sis thinks I am the one being mean!!

it's all depends on interest and style. If a teacher shares a certain interest/passion with a student, then they are likely to make them there "pet" if a teacher likes your style, the way you dress or look,, they will show greater interest in you. in your case perhaps the teacher has changed over the years. or the teacher sees your style different than your sisters.
