I was just wondering if anyone here has ever done the drug ecstacy and if so, what their experience was while on it?

Yes, and it was enjoyable.

Kind of like weed and shrooms mixed with a touch of caffiene.

Would I do it again? No, I'm a big believer in trying everything once. It was fun, but the dangers (brain damage) outweigh the bennies.

I would just say stick to weed and booze and life will be good.

Ecstacy has the undesirable consequences of: short-time period reminiscence lapses Trisma (lockjaw) Bruxia (involuntary tooth grinding) Nystagmus (speedy, uncontrollable eye moves) various hours of restlessness following established subjective consequences, usually observed by technique of a non violent, "sparkling" feeling A era of familiar malaise following established subjective consequences, commonly resolving interior some days Mildly-blurred ingenious and prescient following established subjective consequences, gradually resolving over a era of as a lot as various days, also familiar as "plurring" %: actual consequences of amphetamine could comprise decreased urge for food, dilated students, flushing, lack of coordination, restlessness, dry mouth, headache, tachycardia, higher respiration price, higher blood stress, fever, sweating, diarrhea, constipation, blurred ingenious and prescient, impaired speech, dizziness, uncontrollable moves, insomnia, numbness, palpitations, arrhythmia. What you are able to to do to experience like this without the drugs is only having reliable clean interesting.... perhaps smoking some weed, yet only being a clean man or woman and appearing some elementary stuff alongside with going to the films, putting out with friends could be effective....

Nope, haven't, and don't intend to. My friend does though, she loves it, parties, etc. I guess it comes down to what is important in your life.

To me having meaningful, honest relationships with people, being knowledgeable and educated in life is important. Not so much living life in a euphoric state.

All the best, but I would recommend staying away from any drug that is: A) illegal B) highly toxic, possibly made in a garage, basement or other unsanitary environment by people who just don't really care about anything other than themselves and the almighty dollar and C) would concern your parent/grandparent(s) if you were to admit to them that this is what you were doing.

And his memories of what a great guy he was linger in my mind EVERY time i get offered it.. and it has scared me. So... i am proud that i have never taken ecstacy. in memory of Jimmy Whiley me and my friends are staying off that death drug.

Please read the following from the Druginfo Clearinghouse Australia.

What is ecstasy?
Ecstasy is a street term for a range of drugs that are similar in structure to MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine). Ecstasy is similar in structure and affect to amphetamines and (in high doses) hallucinogens.

Amphetamines, such as "speed", are stimulants that speed up activity in the nervous system. Hallucinogens, such as LSD, typically affect perception and can cause things to appear distorted or things that don't exist to be seen or heard.

Ecstasy is illegal in Australia and other countries, and its ingredients are often hard to obtain. Therefore, manufacturers may substitute a wide range of substances when making the drug. It is possible that when you buy ecstasy it will contain little MDMA.

Like other illegally manufactured drugs, such as speed, there are no controls on factors such as the strength and hygiene of the drug. This increases the chances of a person overdosing, being poisoned or experiencing other adverse reactions after taking the drug.

Street names

Ecstasy is also known as "E", "XTC", "eccy", "the love drug".

How is it used?

Ecstasy usually comes in tablet form, in various colours, sizes, shapes and designs.

Swallowing is the most common way that ecstasy is used. Ecstasy tablets are also crushed and snorted. They are sometimes inserted into the anus (known as "shafting" or "shelving"). Injecting ecstasy has increased in Australia over recent years.
Effects of ecstasy
The effects of any drug (including ecstasy) can vary from person to person. Because ecstasy is commonly taken prior to, or during, dance or "rave" parties, the stimulant effects are likely to increase. Hence, the person taking the drug may be more prone to prolonged and vigorous dancing, further exacerbating some of the dangers listed below.

People having any of the following conditions put themselves at greater risk of physical and psychological harm by taking ecstasy: hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, liver problems, epilepsy, a history of mental illness or panic attacks.

The effects of ecstasy usually begin within 20 minutes of taking the drug, and may last up to 6 hours. Some people have reported symptoms persisting for 32 hours after using ecstasy.

There are usually three phases:

coming up: where the effects can be smooth and bumpy, and users may feel a rush
plateau: where the user may feel good, happy, relaxed
coming down: where the user may feel physically exhausted, depressed, irritable.
Immediate effects

Many people have experienced the following effects soon after taking ecstasy:

increase in confidence
feelings of well being
feelings of closeness to others, hence the term "love drug"
anxiety
dilated pupils
jaw clenching, teeth grinding
increase in heart rate, body temperature and blood pressure
nausea
loss of appetite
sweating.
Higher doses
Higher quantities don't appear to enhance the desirable effects and may cause:

convulsions (fits)
vomiting
floating sensations
irrational or bizarre behaviour
hallucinations.
Overdose
Overdose from ecstasy can occur. It is usually characterised by very high body temperature and blood pressure, hallucinations and an elevated heartbeat. This is especially dangerous for those who have an existing heart condition or breathing problems, and for people with depression or other psychological disorder.

Death
Although it is difficult to determine the exact number of ecstasy related deaths that have occurred, the toxic effects of ecstasy that can lead to death include:

heart attack
brain haemorrhage
blood clotting
kidney failure
overheating: the combination of taking ecstasy with prolonged and vigorous dancing raises the body temperature to dangerous levels. Because it is often taken in hot, humid venues the risk of death by overheating (hyperthermia) is further increased
drinking too much: several deaths have occurred from dilutional hyponatremia a condition whereby a persons brain swells from excess fluid intake, inducing a coma
Long-term effects

Research indicates that few people tend to use ecstasy for a long time. This is possibly due to the severity of undesirable effects, which tend to increase the longer ecstasy use continues, while the pleasurable effects diminish. A person taking ecstasy regularly may find that they are not eating or sleeping enough and are neglecting their health. They may become "run down", have reduced energy levels and be more susceptible to colds, 'flu and infections.

Currently, much research is being undertaken to investigate the effects of ecstasy on the brain. There is limited evidence suggesting that ecstasy causes damage to some parts of the brain.

If you have read all this information, is it worth the risk of taking a little tiny tablet, just for feeling of being "high", that is if it does not kill you or one of your mates first.

I had a great time. However, it was many years ago, and it was pure, direct from the manufacturer in Amsterdam. Whatever is being sold as X these days is any unknown number of toxic chemicals. Best to avoid it.

my neighbor's kid did that stuff and she ended up getting really really sick. i'm assuming she did more than she could handle at once or something. she said at first she felt really good, then she didnt care what was going on (i.e. she remembers this guy she really doesnt like asking for sex, and she was pretty much gonna say "whatever"), then she got violently ill and her body temp rose really really quickly. ended up in the emergency room.

she's a good kid, but she's somewhat of a flake.

i'd recommend steering clear of drugs.
