I would suppose that negatives may depend on what area of the body you'd be waxing and perhaps if you are having it done professionally or doing it at home on your own. It's must easier to have a professional do it.

I've had my legs and eyebrows waxed with no long term problems. Short term, tenderness and redness, but nothing else.

I started my daughter on waxing her brows when she was 11. Today, she has nicely shaped brows that need little maintenance. No negative effects for her either.

There is no negative to waxing. You should exfoliate the skin once or twice a week so you don't get ingrown hairs that can cause little bumps. Exfoliating also get rid of the dead skin. Waxing is great if you don't like to shave and the more you do it the less your hair grows in.

The only negative about waxing is the pain, but it is so worth it that you just suck it up.
Plus, the longer you have done it, the less you have to.
Go to a CLEAN, reputable place, that is extremely important

You can get ingrown hairs and bumps. It can take a chunk of skin with it.

Yes, you can get these little bumps like a rash and also ingrown hairs. I use Veet hair remover; it is much better and painless.

If the waxer doesn't do it right, he/she may be pulling off some of your skin!
