Has anyone tried it? I have a tenderloin and not many spices (I just moved and most of my spices are in a different state...long story). But I have a bottle of teriyaki sauce. Also I have bread crumbs, cayenne pepper, and olive oil, and a pork gravy mix. Maybe I should go that way instead. I also have red wine, worchestere sauce and soy sauce (but no garlic, sugar, or ginger) and salt and pepper, of course. Any suggestions?

Hey I have Italian dressing too...salsa, ketchup, mustard, jalapenos, sour cream...seriously I wanted to try something different but with my limited supply of spices, and the fact that I will not be going to the store tommorow before cooking this, I think I might just stick to olive oil/pepper, bread crumbs, and gravy....because I have no better idea. I can't grill this, it must be baked, so teriyaki just doesn't sound good, esp. with the side dishes I will prepare (potatoes and green beans).

You have everything.Taste the sauce,do you like it?Well if not you have soy, cayenne to influence it,Or you can marinade it with a little oil,red wine and worchester,do the pork gravy mix, reduce it with a little red wine and spice it to your taste with the ingredients you got.

Although the teriyaki sounds good you do have other options. How about stuffing the pork loin with a mix of bread crumbs, green beans, jalapenos and a littly mayo to bind them. Then bread the outside of the loin and bake. Cover with gravy mix voila!!

Yes but throw in some star anise it is so good with pork.

Soy, garlic, 5or 6 star anise, 1/2 cup dark molasses or honey, 1.5 cups red or white wine, touch of Alessi balsamic raspberry vinegar, olive oil, big hunk of fresh ginger sliced or chopped: boil for about 20 mins on simmer

Let it cool a bit and put the pork in there overnight. Can also add some orange juice and grated orange rind.

My mom's made teriyaki pork on the grill before, and it turned out pretty well. But if you're still nervous, you know you can't go wrong with the gravy mix. Good luck!

When I lived in Hawaii, they put Teriyaki sauce on almost any type of meat. It was delicious. Teriyaki doesn't really smell great out of the jar, but it makes a fabulous marinade.

I use it whenever I want something fast and easy for a marinade. Grill it and enjoy.

I tried it and didn't like it.

Making your own with soy sauce, garlic, honey and ginger root works better!
