why do people hate other people because of religion,
isnt religion something that has NO CORRECT ANSWER TOO?

People are people, Shouldn't they all be treated the same, no matter what they believe?

Shouldn't people in this world be working together to figure out BIGGER problems like- Global warming, pollution instead of killing each other over something that wont matter when the world is gone?
or do some believe that this world does not matter because there is always heaven?

Look this is how i believe it is! Someone that is really into religion and stuff can't easily accept that some other religion might be right which i find logicall. If someone isn't into religion at all then he accepts everyone, but please don't expect for example a christian to tolerate muslims or anything like that it just ain't gonna happen. Thats why i think religion is crap.

All people should be treated the same, it would be nice if everyone worked together to make a better world but there are to many people that like power and money and only care for themselves and noone else.

Amen!!! Firstly, to assume that religious people hate people of other religions is a little bit premature. I am a religious Jew and yet, I don’t dislike any one else’s religion. I know who I am and to me that is enough. Those who hate me because of my faith can kiss my tuchas, for I pay no attention to them. If I care about what others thought of me I would never leave the house.

Secondly, you are mistaken if you believe that religions do not have correct answers. My faith has the correct answers to everything; you just have to know where to look for them. If I want to know about certain law within Judaism, I would research it in the Talmud or ask the rabbi to where to look. We as Jews had the oral torah long before the written Torah and since that time thousands of years have gone by. All questions that were asked were answered one way or another. If they had not been answered then it is easy to get the general knowledge of the different commentaries and to answer your question.

Thirdly, I agree with you people are people and should be treated like people. However, many religions that believe in missionary activities (i.e. Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism) would always see their faith is more superior then anyone else’s. In Judaism we do not actively search for converts or commercialize our faith. This is not what our religion teaches us. Our faith teaches us that all non-Jews are children of Noah. Because we hold this view, we accept all people as people and do not discriminate against others for the most part. I cannot guarantee for sure that there are no racists in the Jewish faith. But they are hard to come by. I have been around Jews for a long time (being one and all) and you can find Jews in many organizations that promote equality (NCAAP, FEMA, PETA, fighting for recognition of genocide in Sudan, raising money to help kids with cancer and all other humane organizations).

Finally, you are right we should be all working together to protect and concentrate on the bigger events that can end humanity or make living harder. But all changes can happen only as a result of religion. Did you know that in Judaism animal cruelty is forbidden? In fact, we are taught that if the donkey is tired you are supposed to remove the load from it. You are supposed to feed your animals before Shabbat, you are not allowed to abuse your animals, before you eat all of your animals have to be fed first, every year we are taught to plant trees on Tu Beshvat, we are taught to tikum olam (to fix the world). That is why you see so many Jews involvement in many charities like that. It is written in our DNA. You can be the most liberal Jew who doesn’t even know the Torah, yet as a Jew one will still have the notion to help a fellow Jew, to help a person in trouble, to help rescue animals, to walk against racism, and when the time comes to come back to the Torah you will be able to absorb everything with semi-ease. Why? Because the Torah is also written into our DNA. As, as you see to Judaism the world matters. That is why accounting, economics, many medical fields, capitalism (to a certain degree), socialism, liberalism, conservatism were developed or had Jews to partake in those endeavors, because these Jews tried to make the world a more peaceful world where all people are equal. Hence, we are taught to study the Torah and to make sure that we would have a world for our kids to enjoy.

This is what happens when you don’t use all of your energy to converting others and sending everyone to hell.

The hatred starts when one party blame a certain religion for something bad. The western media is always blaming Islam for anything bad and blow it out of proportion. Any terorrist act is never condone by Islam.
When the IRA commit atrocities and Hitler kill the Jews, why Christianity was not blamed.
When American soldiers kill Innocent Vietnamese, Iraqis, Afghans, and torture them, why the western media never blame Chritianity?

The problem is with the religions that don't accept that someone else can be right without them being wrong. Intolerance, to be plain, is a function of most religions. They compete for followers, after all.

Because their religious teaching tells them to. Particularly islam.
Go to www.prophetmohammed.co.uk and find the videos of imams in mosques teaching their attendees what do do.
See translations of some quran verses.
Then again, see some parts of the xtian bible - much the same sort of thing appears regarding killing of enemies.

All BS.

the truth is?
religions ( those that are false), have a vested interest in not telling the truth.
That is why they will foment hatreds.

The on truth that is not being recognized by the majority of people, is that the bible does not promote hatred nor killing. It teaches all to lay down their weapons, and love their enemies.
I only know of one religion that actually complies with this fact completely.

There is egoism involved. To survive religions have to be presented as absolutes and nothing in the universe is absolute.
