Has anyone ever heard of the Mr. America airplane?

I'm not 100% on the title, but supposedly its famous. It was hanging in our shop for a while. We were storing it for a friend. at some point it crashed or something. It's a small single-engine plane.

I can't seem to find anything about it on the web, but they guy that owned it didn't know what it was and sold it on E-bay. Now some guy in Canada has it. He actually flew it up there. We thought he was crazy.

Its been so long ago I barely remember what it looks like, perhaps we have a picture of it somewhere. All I can remember is I THINK the body and wings structure were wooden with canvas covered wings.

Can anyone tell me more about the Mr. America plane? I can't find anything on it.

Mr. America airplane? What was the fuselage shaped like??!

Oh yeah that plane was very famous a couple of years back. I'm surprised you haven't heard of it.
