You should just get your GED. High school is stupid and a waste of time. Just get your GED and get started in community college. NO employer will ever ask you for your high school diploma.

ok have your mom READ THIS!
GED is JUST AS GOOD as a HS Diploma.
All that a GED or HS Diploma ever does is prove to future employers that you are capable of commitment to an organization or goal.
If you are 18, you don't need your mom's permission to drop out and do what you want. I am not encouraging you to drop out, but the fact is a GED is just as acceptable as a HS Diploma.
If you are failing, you need to take a look at yourself, and try to find out WHY before you go any further. Talk to your school guidance counselor, and maybe he/she can help you figure out where to go from there. Are you having issues with depression? Are you unable to concentrate in class? I'm sure that you are not stupid. You already made a smart choice in trying to get some advice, and that shows that you care very deeply about your future. I applaud you for that!
You may end up having to take some summer school courses, and get your HS Diploma this fall, instead of this spring, but it doesn't matter WHEN you do this, as long as you decide what the best route for you is, and STICK TO IT. Don't let your mom or anyone else try to persuade you one way or another. You know in your own heart what is right for you. GOOD LUCK!

Your mom is right. There's no reason to give up yet. You may have to go to night school, summer school, Saturday school, or even start your senior year over, but you can do it. Try tutoring, but don't stress yourself out, by trying to perform miracles in the last few months. I suggest you speak to your counselor about your options. Get a tutor and try to improve your study skills. It will be much more beneficial for you to have a high school diploma than a GED. Good luck.

properly in case you want to pass on jointly with your existence, initiate via turning out to be up and ignoring all the bs that is going on in college. possibly concentration on the faculty artwork and additionally you need to finally finally end up with a miles better selection than cosmetology . The degree which you get from college is little extra desirable than the GED, yet have faith me you're able to experience extra desirable approximately your self in ten years in case you stick it out and graduate. by the shape, like 2 days after commencement you comprehend that not one of the social BS in college concerns, the purpose is attending to THAT day.

well if night school and sat school isnt going to be enough, you can try to graduate during the summer. and that way you can go to school during the summer and maybe night school if you need more time.
You'll still be able to go to community college afterwards.
As for convincing your mom..i think shes right..you might as well try to finish it up during the school year without dropping out. Its worth a shot

you have to finish what you start
why go to college if you can't even finish high school??
it's not going to get any easier, you know
and a ged can be bad becuase it shows a college you didn't finish high school, so why would they want you there if you're not going to finish that either (not that you won't... but all they have to base thing is off is your history)
finish high school or think about if college is REALLY the answer..
