If the pain is that bad then the abscessed tooth needs to seen by dentist. It needs to be cut open to remove the pus and allow it to drain. Abscesses tend to pocket out and grow..they may not have a way to drain. Trust me i am the expert on this stuff. I am abscess girl unfortunately. I had had two operated on but they were peri rectal and ishio rectal horeshoe ones (found out i have crohns) and i have had so many cut open in the office lets say i have lost count. It hurts alot cause the pressure it needs to be drained. Go tomorrow to have it done. Don't wait trust me it will get worse. For tonight take some ibuprofen or aleve(its naproxen) and gargle with hot salt water as often as needed. I truly hope you feel better since i really understand ur pain.

Keep taking it until you have taken the whole bottle of the prescription. Call the doctor and ask for pain meds. You may need more than one prescription of antibiotics if it does not clear up with the first bottle. Keep seeing the doctor or dentist.

The infection is too close to your brain to fool around with the consequences of not taking care of the problem; people die from abscessed teeth sometimes.

It should not explode. The antibiotic should have taken care of the infection. Since it didn't take care of the infection either see your dentist first thing in the morning or go to Urgent care tonight and get it looked at.

antibiotics are for the infection not the pain. you need to see a dentist ASAP.
