I agree! I don't think they need be mutually exclusive concepts. I look at the amazing product of evolution, conscious beings, and it reassures me of a creator. I think God is present in the process of evolution, marveling process that was bound to create sentient beings that could become conscious and know of the existence of a god.

Evolution says that we all evolved from Protolife, like branches off a tree. That still begs the question: where did protolife come from? What is the ultimate origin of the universe? I tend to look towards God on that.

A good book to read dealing on this subject is Barbara Brown Taylor's "The Luminous Web."

I just did my long disseration for the night , so you're out of luck.
I will assume that you know engineers.
Read the Bible & ask yourself if it appears to be wriiten by an engineer ?
If an engineer did in fact write the Bible you would expect that some useful mechanical information would have been included if not in the actual text then in appendixes.
A copy of Gray's Anatomy
A map of the world
A map of the solar system
Newton's Principia Mathmatica
How to make eyeglasses
How to make steel
The list would of course go on.
God was not an engineer,

Science by definition is the study of the natural universe in natural terms. Science cannot make any statement about God one way or the other because the supernatural realm, including God, lies completely outside the purview of science.

Evolution challenges the belief that all things were created as they are by God. We could very well have evolved out of the sea, and the Bible says nothing about it, that's the problem.

i dont think so. scientists dont study evolution to disprove god but to explain where we came from. there is no religious agenda in learning evolution at all. until the religious fanatics invented ID because they thought than evolution was "made to have something against god"
