I'm not really sure if this is a question or a tirade, but let me take a stab at it:

First. "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." If you know Christians who claim they don't sin, then you know liars.

Second: Yes, there are Christians who would turn people away at the church door. If you were, in fact, "strongly Christian", then you know exactly what Christ had to say about that. A hint: not a good thing.

Third: Your "how can a loving and merciful God..." etc. Volumes have been written on that, even if we just limit ourselves to this board. I'm not going to try to summarize it here. I will just say: how can loving and merciful parents let a doctor inflict pain on their children? Might it have something to do with "the long run"?

Four: Yes, I realize that. What's your point?

I know there are some Christian out there that will pretend that they are the stuff and look down on others for sinning when we all sin. But you cannot blame us all for the actions of a few.

That man made a mistake. Gays and all other sinners should be welcome in church since no sin is greater than any other.

God was loving enough to send his son to die on the cross so that we could choose eternal life instead of eternal death.

Just because someone is not a Christian does not mean they cannot love or are not a good person. It only means that they are unforgiven. Not all Christians are nice but if they have accepted Jesus as savior they are forgiven.

Ok it is very obvious to me that you have had bad experiences with people who call themselves Christians. For that I apologize. About the consequences of Adam and Eve's sin- if it was not them it would be me, or you or anyone. WE ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD. Yes, I agree sometimes non-Christians can appear more loving and caring than some Christians, I have seen that. And for that I am saddened, as is our God. I pray that you will see that true Christians are actually out there, desiring to love and care as Jesus does. No one is perfect- even Christians, we are just people that have been bought with the blood of Jesus. May the Lord forgive us who call ourselves believers, if we do not show the love of Christ to others. May you look to Christ for your example, instead of us we are fallible. You seem very angry- I pray that you will come back to the loving Lord and become that loving person He calls us to be.

First of all you must not be reading the bible too clearly. We do not suffer consequences because of Adam and Eve. We suffer consequences because of our own sins. The man that didn't let the gay man in church was wrong because what if he wanted to chage his life. Yes, non-christians are just as loving, caring and have sympathy for others as christians but because if they do not follow Gods' word then God will judge them when they die. People who do something and try to tell someone else not to do it is a hypocrite. Just because some are hypocrites does not mean you should give up. Others won't get you into heaven, only you will. I myself do not do that. I know that if I do something it is wrong for me to tell someone else not to do it. People who purposely sin like that will not go to heaven according to God. God forgives those who are true to their repentiveness.

We are all sinners sir...we all have a fallen nature that we inherited from our great grand pappy Adam. The difference between someone who has not excepted CHRIST and one who has, is "regeneration". The Christian has a new spirit and now understands that he has been a sinner. For the rest of the Christians life he or she is now in a process called,
"sanctification". Simply put it means that GOD has taken us out of the world when we were saved and now the rest of the Christians life GOD takes the world out of the Christian through spiritual experience...I said all that to say this: Christian's still have a fallen nature, it just isn't in charge the way it used to be. So sometimes and even allot of times
(depending on the maturity level) Christians say or do things that make them look bad in the eyes of non believers. What the non believer doesn't see is later on in the Christians secret place where he is on his or her face before the LORD praying for forgiveness. Now again all this depends on maturity level sir. Excepting CHRIST as savior takes seconds, but becoming CHRIST like takes the rest of their life..
~GOD BLESS YOU AND LEAD YOU INTO ALL TRUTH~

What happened to cause you to walk away from your faith? The example of the man with the tattoo could be considered a hypocrite and probably had much religious pride. The pharisees in the Bible were the very same. They had no compassion and their hearts were cold and hard.
God is a loving and merciful God but He will not violate our will to choose and He'll bend over backwards to reach us any way He can. True love isn't love at all if it can't be chosen freely and if correction is absent. God wants us to chose Him because we love Him, not because we're forced to. You will know the real Christians by their fruit. Love, peace, patience, joy, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness.

Unfortunately you sound like the typical backslider who gave up his relationship with God because he was always looking at the mistakes of men - Your tattoed man that you mentioned for example. If you try and judge God by what his people do you will never believe. I have had Christians do bad things to me. I don't know if some of them are truly Christians but these things will not stop me from following God. He is good all of the time. If you don't know that maybe you never really knew Him - you just knew the religion.

I observed a guy run around the outdoors of a pool crammed with a non-Newtonian fluid hence God is genuine, and additionally the soul is an invisible organ interior the human physique that's teleported to a minimum of one among 2 parallel universes, the two heaven or hell as quickly as we die.

The world is full of hypocrites, and those who sin and do not strive to be true followers of God, but proclaim that they are. Fake Christians, is what I call them.

If one truly follows the Lord Jesus Christ, he or she will strive to follow God's commandments, and try to walk away from sin. Nobody is perfect, that's why Christ came, but we all can do our best to not sin and to follow God with all our hearts.
