if a guy likes you...he wont IM you or text you on his own? You have to start the conversation first....
but if you see him around, he'll say hi back like its no big deal?

He is probably nervous and probably is just mustering a hi. I used to have that very problem. He may not be sure how you will react and at the least possible sign of rejection, he has a fear and just backs off.
It is a natural reaction, hopefully, if he really likes you, he will take a chance... give it time.

Most of the time if a guy doesn't make a move means one of three things. First he may not like you, nothing wrong with you, but eveyone has different tastes. Second he may be shy, and that probably means that he's either inexperienced or is insecure. Inexperienced, you can take a risk; insecure, don't bother as having someone that is always going to question you and themself isn't worth your time. And lastly, which is probably the case (unless I'm reading it wrong), is he may just not be an "online" person. Myself I'd much rather TALK to a person on the phone than text or im them. If someone is doing that seriously just talk to him, you'd be suprised by the ammount of guys that HHHHHHHHATE text messaging.

Key word"back! He is more than likely very shy.If you like him than try to start the conversation and talk about things to make him more and more comfortable as time goes by.If he is shy than he is probabally weary of how you feel,so tell him and things will move along very nicely.

lol u are so right my girlfriend's friend was being a big bi*** about it and now i instant message her first sumtimes cuz i guess they want to feel liked and loved so i just did to make my sweetie happy and so her friend would shut up
