Interesting question. I'll bet the answers are equally interesting. "Making love" is a natural biological function that has as its primary purpose the procreation of the human race. Because this is so important, as a survival mechanism, mother nature has seen fit to endow most of us with a strong urge to procreate, to "make love" with any suitable partner. Society, over the years (thousands, or millions) has decided that marriage or some formal union is necessary to help care for the children of the couple who "make love". Cringing is not what comes to most people's minds when they think of "making love". On the contrary, most people look upon the prospect with some degree of excitement and anticipation. Of course much will depend on the proposed partner.

No. I like making love. I take my time. Nice and slow. No cringing. Just right.

Yes and I am a girl. It grosses me out when a guy says this. I would rather him say 'have sex' or '****' or even 'shag' than make love, yuk
