Worship is honoring the creator Do it because the creator tells us to. Jesus is alive.
JN 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning.
JN 1:3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

Worship is spreading Gods message to others. You should worship to others, so they too can be saved and know that they will spend eternity in heaven.

Values, it all comes down to values. If you have values in the teaching of God through Jesus you will worship because it is right for you and you will know it is by looking within yourself.

proskuneo = to worship, pay homage, show reverence; to kneel down (before)
latreia = worship, ministry, service (to God)
Those 2 Greek words are translated "worship" in scripture. The meanings are a bit more complex than the simple "worship" Proskuneo has to do with the way we approach God, with honor and respect. Latreia is used describing the work of the priests in temple worship.
Romans 12:1 presents a beautiful commentary on worship. "Brothers and sisters, God has shown you his mercy. So I am asking you to offer up your bodies to him while you are still alive. Your bodies are a holy sacrifice that is pleasing to God. When you offer your bodies to God, you are worshiping him." The word here is latreia. That means that the worshipers daily lives of obedient sacrifice are compared to the work of priests under the law in offering burnt offerings to God. It is a two-fold worship. We are compared to the priest offering the sacrifice and we ARE the sacrifice.

True worship is obedience to God. It does include the time in church where we sing to God extolling His praises, affirming His attributes, telling of our love, but it is so much more. It includes doing what He wants you to do even when you do not feel like it. Going to church is an act of worship, so is telling others about Him, doing good in His name, helping where it is needed, giving of your time, talents, gifts, and money, etc.
Why wouldn't you worship your Creator God? He created you. All good things come from Him.
Are any of these things true for you? How many?
You have two eyes to see, perceiving this beautiful planet God created as our home.
You have two ears to hear of His loving grace.
You have two arms to reach out to others and serve.
You have two feet to take you where you need to go.
Your body processes the food you need to live.
You have air to breathe and the organs to do so.
You have parent(s) who love you.
You have the capacity to communicate with those around you.
You have the mental and physical capacity to read and write.
You have a friend.
You have shelter, clothing, food, and drink.
You have a spouse.
You have children.
You live in a society where you are free to worship God and do what is right.
Not only are all your needs met, many of your wants (including internet connections) are met as well.
You have a job that you can do because of the abilities God gave you.
Most importantly, even though you are a sinner and were (or are, if you haven't accepted His free gift yet) His enemy, He died for you. He took all the consequences of your sin upon Himself. He paid the price so that you can enter into His kingdom, and be His child, no more dead in your sins, but raised to a new life.
I'm sure you can name many more reasons to be grateful to God and want to worship Him for who He is and all He has done for you. Have you thought of a reason why you shouldn't yet? Remember, all good things come from God. All bad things are a result of sin. But God can use even these for your good and His glory if you bring them to Him. He says to cast all your cares on Him.
Inyourface, What more do you want??!!! He had His people write you a book about His love for us and dealings with us. How He created us, Adam & Eve sinned causing all people to be born spiritually dead, but He had a plan and would work it through His chosen people, then Jesus died for your sins and mine, and rose from the dead proving that He is the Christ, the Son of God. People who were there wrote about it for you, and their words are available to you. If you really want to know the truth, pray for the Holy Spirit to come and give you wisdom that you may know the truth as you read His word.

You worship to unite your submissive spirit yo Gods in prayer and mediation and music and dancing and study of his word and believing his truth, when you do this he fills you with his presence and Gods presence is the Goal. The bible says that his presence inhabits the praise of his people! It is this presence that heals and raised Jesus from the dead and you need a dose of the ghost!
