I would like a mix of gospel, country and rock.

I know I want Bridge Over Troubled Waters.
And she likes some of Dolly Parton. Coat of many colors.

But she also likes new music. Soft rock and new country.
I do not listen to country so anything about how you love that person would be great.

Everyone calls her mom.
She is a wonderful person. She was a person who could fix anything by reading. She did our plumbing, fixed the car, vet care for the animals that the whole town had brung her. (even wild animals) She loves the outdoors and fishing,
A free spirit. If she could she would of walked naked like god intended at the very begining is one of her sayings. ( Yes she is a little strange lol.)

I have asked her and she wants whatever is best for my healing and my 3 sons. But I can not think straight.
Thanks guys.

If your mom is telling you to do what you feel is best for the healing of you and your sons, that means she really doesn't care.

Funerals are for the surviving family and friends. They are a way of saying, "Good bye, we love you and will miss you." In addition, funerals are also a way for all of her family and friends to "connect" and relive the good times they had with her.

So, if you want to honor your mother, play music that makes YOU feel comforted. And maybe one piece that is her favorite.

If Heaven by Andy Griggs is a great country song that seems like would be fitting for your mom and yourself. It has a great "story" line.
I will pray for you to find strength and courage for you and your family during this time and for you to find the right songs that will speak to you and your loved ones. I hope the song I listed will be of help.
Shalom

how about some happy songs. instead of making her last apperance so dim and depressing, make it a happy one. one that everyone will remember her by. don't use depressing songs, it will just make people cry.
