Cut down on carbs like potatoes, bread, pasta, noodles, rice.
You can eat a fair amount but not too much.

If you have cravings, opt for fat free yogurt or better, nuts.

Not eating food does not help you lose weight.

Maintain a healthy diet by eating breakfast and dinner and do some exercise.

Because, if you starve yourself, your body will hang on to the fats and when you do get hungry, you will tend to eat more. Some people gained more than their usual weight after they stopped eating.

There's this diet called the Atkins Diet which works best if you're desperate. But i have to warn you, it is NOT healthy because it cuts down on diary products and food that you need to become healthy.

The best thing is to eat well, exercise, DRINK MORE WATER, and have some sleep.

Research shows that if you sleep more, you will tend to lose weight because you won't be going to the refridgerator everytime you're hungry.

Drink green tea before every meal. It's said to raise your metabolism and the hot beverage will curb your appetite.

Do not eat refined sugars such as white bread and sugar. Stay far away from high fructose corn syrup (found in soda, juices and many other items).

Do eat lean protein with every meal. Like chicken breast, fish, and occasional lean beef. Protein satisfies you longer than carbs and will help you keep your muscle (the more muscle you have the more calories you burn through the day.)

I always found it tough to have protein in the morning, so I have yogurt with fruit for breakfast. Then I have a small handful of almonds around 10am.

Definitely replace all your drinks with water. I was sick with kidney stones and it worked wonders...unfortunately I didn't need to lose weight though. But if you do that and even drink water instead of snacking I think you will definitely lose weight.
