video error ffrom bit torrent?

Question

i downloaded a video from bit torrent
but everytime i download a video, it always say codec error and only plays the sound of whatever i watched..

whats wrong and how should i fix it?

oh yeah i use windows media player if that helps any bit.

Windows Media Player cannot play all file types. You should get more variety of players such as VLC Player, RealPlayer, DivX Player, Media Player Classic, or you can just download Codecs. You have to find Codecs on search sites and download and install them.
I prefer Media Player Classic over all those players. For example, WMP cannot play .rmvb files but MPC can.
