Mirko is not Tim Sylvia. Mirko has destroyed or went to decision with people who would DESTROY sylvia. As far as Couture learning mirko's game and beating him well Mirko doesn't have a 'plan' he just goes in and beats some a$$. He relies on his skill and never underestimates his opponents. This is what held him from scoring a KO on Eddie, he ran and ran and ran and mirko didn't buy into it and remained cautious. I think Couture has a much better chance to last longer than sylvia would have but if he goes into this fight like he did sylvia and puts his dukes up to strike or get aggressive too quickly he's going to be seeing stars very quickly.

Prediction: Mirko KO's Couture 1st round, 2 minutes into the round by kicks to the body.

Mirko is beatable and looked it in the first Silva fight but crushed him the 2nd fight. Mirko does not Ko many guys with his hands so if couture fights on the inside and keeps him against the cage he may have a shot. All and all Couture is the only heavy who has a chance against cro cop in the ufc

my prediction is a brutal KO in the 2nd ot 3rd for Cro Cop

Cro Cop should win. However, Couture has shown a great ability to plan for fights with usually great strategies. Cro Cop is not unbeatable (see his fights with Mark Hunt and the very limited Kevin Randleman) but he is one of the best heavyweights in the world with some of the best kicks in the world. Also, remember that Couture originally left the heavyweight division back in the day because he could not handle the size of the heavyweights. Though he did beat Tim Sylvia, Cro Cop is a different kind of animal. It should be interesting to watch. I predict Cro Cop KO in the second.

Well Couture did lose 2 of 3 to Liddell. Seeing how Liddell and Crocop are both stand up fighters first it is valid to compare. Crocop actually hits harder that Liddell especially with the legs. I don't think Crocop is as good in his take down defense.

I suppose if Randy avoids any shape or form of stand up he has a modest chance. If Randy goes out and thinks he is going to box with Cropcop he will get KO'd. If Randy shots a takedown right away and moves the fight to the ground he can have a chance.

I just don't see Randy getting the fight to the ground. CroCop by KO in 1 is my best guess.

First off, i must say i'm a huge Couture fan. unfortunately, i think he will lose to cro cop. cro cop has size and power over couture. although randy did out-box the heck out of silvia, he left his head wide open to kicks, which is what cro cop is nasty with. look at some of mirko's other fights too, he's beaten most of the best of the best. one of his few loses was to fedor, who is ranked no.1 in the world by just about every MMA association. mirko needs to explore the UFC in his next fight (different rules and different number of rounds and different time limits then he's used to). while those might seem like minor things, they can be huge, anderson silva's loses were DQ's from kicks to the head of a downed apponent, legal in japan, illegal here. but over all, i see cro cop coming out on top in the 2nd or 3rd round with a kick or knee to the head. (i think he will feel out couture for the 1st period).

I'd like to see Randy win this fight, he did amazing against Tim Sylvia and has a lot of skill. Although I don't think he has much of a chance of beating Mirko. I can't imagine that Randy would actually win this fight, but I hope that at least the fight goes to a decision. I don't want to see Randy become a highlight reel.
