I am in the process of completely remodeling my kitchen and cannot believe how hard it has been to find a NICE trash can for the kitchen that is larger than 13 gallons in size. Currently I am using an ugly outdoor can...I have 5 school age kids and a dog--I'd be changing the trash 3 times a day with a tiny can--Where can I get a 30+ gallon trash can that is actually nice? Anybody?
Additional notes: I have considered purchasing a can that is designed for a more elegant restaurant so that I can get the size I need--but I can't stand the thought of spending $1000 on a trash can---HELP!

I just tried the Container Store and the site is down for reconstruction....I have tried just about every home improvement store and website though. Hopefully this site willl be up soon!! The guys at Lowe's informed me that they didn't even think "nice" 30+ gallon cans were made---I just couldn't stop thinking that I could make a fortune producing them myself!

You might just take a cabinet and modify it so that you can slide a standard outdoor trash can inside. This will atleast hide the ugly can.

The Container Store has the nicest trash cans I've ever seen, sorry you can't get through on their website. Keep trying! But I just found the website of the brand they sell...

I just got one of the big red outdoor type and I think it looks great in the kitchen!
